I photograph about twenty weddings a year on film, and print the ones you will keep in my own darkroom.
Every wedding is shot on medium-format and 35mm film. I develop the negatives myself, send you contact sheets to choose from, and make the prints by hand on fibre-based paper.

From the day to the darkroom
Nothing is edited on a screen and nothing is sent to a lab. The whole process takes about ten weeks, and you can see each step.
On the day
Up to ten hours on film
Medium-format for portraits and the ceremony, 35mm for the speeches and the dancing. Around fourteen rolls, about four hundred frames.
Three weeks later
Contact sheets and scans
I develop every roll myself. You get printed contact sheets in the post and full-resolution scans of every frame to download.
Six to ten weeks later
Prints made by hand
You mark your favourites on the contact sheets. I print them on fibre-based paper in my darkroom, one sheet at a time, and send them in a linen box.
